ABOUT

The Stroudwater Food Pantry (SFP) services the Greater Portland Community by providing fresh meat, dairy, produce and non-perishable foods to those in need.

Thanks to our generous volunteers, supporters and community partnerships, we have been able to fill the fresh produce gap for our clients on a weekly basis (see our blog for our weekly pantry reports).

The Stroudwater Food Pantry is a registered hunger relief agency with the US Department of Agriculture and we participate in The Emergency Family Assistance Program (T.E.F.A.P.). We are also a registered hunger relief agency with the Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine.
In 2021 SFP distributed 105 tons of groceries to families in need. We welcome donations of any amount, which we will use to purchase much needed dry staples for the pantry.

Stroudwater Food Pantry Mission:
To do the work of Jesus by feeding those in need and reducing the number of meal insecure families in Southern Maine.
“For I was hungry and you fed me…”
Everything the Stroudwater Food Pantry does is guided by the following core values:
1. Feed the Hungry
2. Share the Love of Christ
3. Build for Long Term Sustainability
4. Own our Financial Solvency
