Hi Team – It was a very busy day this past Sunday as your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 56 families, providing groceries to a total of 192 people. 7 new families joined the pantry this week.
Our supermarket rescue food pickups, church donations and private donations totaled 1,650 lbs. of food over all. Volunteers this week included Angie, Cat, Debbie S, Karlene, Michael C, Nicki & Dan B., Phil, Rena, Steve and myself.
This past week your Stroudwater Food Pantry embarked on a new and exciting expansion of its hunger relief ministry. As part of our church’s week long mission trip to Princeton, Washington County, SFP ran ‘Princeton Pantry Days’, a four day food pantry that distributed 2 tons of groceries to 140 families from the Princeton, Big Lake, and Indian Township communities. Each family received a bag full of non-perishable groceries and a case of breakfast cereal.
A special thank you to the Washington County Missions Team that helped load, transport, and unload 2 tons of food at the Princeton Elementary School! And – thank you to the Missions volunteers that distributed groceries and cereal, along with the clothes, shoes, and books distributed at the school as well! Thank you all!
