Stroudwater Food Pantry status – 5/12/19

Hi Team – This past Sunday your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 36 families and provided groceries to a total of 104 people.  4 new families joined the pantry this week.

Our supermarket fresh rescue food pickups, and donations, totaled a whopping 3,293lbs. Volunteers for this week included Angie, Anne, Cat, Debbie S, Donna, Jean, Lois, Nick, Nicki, Phil, Rena, Sandra, Steve, and myself.  Mike H. offered prayers for anyone seeking prayer.

Your Stroudwater Food Pantry was recently USDA approved for TEFAP (The Emergency Family Assistance Program).  This means we qualify for additional food, and different types of food, that are provided to us through Wayside Food Programs in Portland.  This food will help us better serve our pantry clients and our community.  The processing of additional food makes more work for all us, but it is surely worth it!  Thank you everyone for supporting a busy pantry week, and for all you do that help makes your Stroudwater Food Pantry a beacon for hunger relief in the greater Portland community!
