Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 10/6/19

Hi Team – This past week your Stroudwater Food Pantry’s Friday crew picked up and processed 2,765 lbs. of food, stacking shelves and freezers in preparation for Sunday.   The Sunday crew served 46 families, providing groceries to a total of 125 people.  4 new families joined the pantry on Sunday.  Volunteers for this week included Anne, Cat, Debbie, Jean, Karlene, Lois, Michelle, Nick, Phil, Sandra, Shawn, Steve, Tammy and myself.

October ushers in the beginning of the busiest time of year for your Stroudwater Food Pantry.  Not only will we process large volumes of food and distribute large volumes of groceries to clients, it also involves the planning and preparation for both our Thanksgiving Dinners distribution (to local families), and our Christmas Dinners distribution to Washington County.

Please keep us in your prayers for success with all we have before us.  And if you have not signed up for a shift with your pantry recently, please consider either responding to this email or seeing Laura Pitcher about getting on our volunteer schedule.  We will have openings on both Friday’s and Sunday’s, plus opportunities for you to build dinner boxes for the upcoming holiday dinners.  Thank you for all you do, and God Bess You!  — Doug
