Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 10/27/19

This was an exciting week for your Stroudwater Food Pantry; our Sunday team served a whopping 67 families, our busiest Sunday so far this year!   They provided groceries to a total of 183 people, with 7 new families joining the pantry this week.

Additionally our Friday team rescued, processed and stocked away more than a 1¼ tons of food!  Volunteers for this week included Angie, Anne, Cat, Debbie, Jean, Karlene, Lois, Michelle, Phil, Rebecca, Rena, Steve and myself.

As we close out October we look back on the blessing of the generous egg donations received from Orchard Ridge Farm, and look forward to the Thanksgiving holiday November brings.  We are actively preparing for the distribution of 200 Thanksgiving dinner boxes, and in the past two weeks have already signed up more than 80 families to receive the dinners.

Thank you everyone who volunteered in October, and a special thank you to the volunteers for this past Sunday; you cranked out the groceries, served our clients, and made our busiest Sunday yet look easy and effortless!  —  Doug
