Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 2/2/20

Hi Team – On Superbowl Sunday your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 60 families and provided groceries to a total of 164 people.  9 new families joined the pantry this week.

Our supermarket food rescue pickups and food donations totaled 2,592 lbs.  Volunteers for this week included Adam, Angie, Cat, Debbie, Donna, Jean, Karlene, Nick, Nicki, Phil, Sandra, Scott, Steve and myself.

January was a big month for us, as we processed 6½ tons of food and served more than 225 families!  2020 has started off with a bang, and included the formal rollout of your Stroudwater Food Pantry’s newest program: Last Mile Home Delivery of groceries to families who cannot travel to our church.  We are currently delivering to 13 households, most of whom are either elderly client or who suffer from medical issues that prevent them from driving, and we expect this number to grow as the year progresses.

Thank you everyone who volunteered in the very busy month of January, and who help get 2020 off to such a great start!
