Hi Team – For the week ending Sunday the 7th your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 73 families and provided groceries to a total of 174 people. We delivered groceries to the homes of 46 families through our Last Mile home delivery program. 4 new families joined the pantry this week.
Our supermarket food rescue pickups and food donations totaled 2,707 lbs. Volunteers for this week included Angie, Anna, Deirdra & Dennis, Donna & Rhianna, Jake VP, Jean, Jessica, Michelle & Ben, Rena, Steve K. and myself.
Our Last Mile Home Delivery program has proven to be a blessing to shut-in’s and families who cannot come to the pantry on Sundays. We currently deliver groceries to 63 households on a regular basis. Doing so has caused us to modify our food operational model considerably, including picking up Fresh Food Rescue on Mondays as well as Fridays. Nonetheless, pantry volunteers have stepped up to meet the need and bring hunger relief to individuals and families who lack the means to travel. Thank you Team! –Doug
