Hi Team – The week ending Sunday the 17th was another very busy week as your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 93 families and provided groceries to a total of 235 people. 73 of the families received groceries through our Last Mile home delivery program. 2 new families joined the pantry this week.
Our supermarket food rescue pickups and food donations totaled 2,416 lbs. Volunteers for this week included Adam, Amy P & Bryce & Hunter, Angie, Dee & Bill, Deirdra, Dennis, Jean, Kelly, Laura, Lila, Mason, Michelle, Steve D, and myself.
This week marked a special event with another trip to Washington County. On Friday the 15th pantry volunteers built 28 turkey dinner boxes (with all the side dishes), and 6 ham dinner boxes (with hams donated by Clark Insurance). On Saturday the 16th I drove up to Penni’s nursery and daycare center in Princeton, and delivered all 34 boxes. She distributed all of them to families in need, that very afternoon!
Thank you team for the special work done on Friday, building dinner boxes for Princeton. It is because of you the horizons of your Stroudwater Food Pantry extend beyond southern Maine, and into Washington County! God Bless Everyone who volunteered this week!
