Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 1/31/21

Hi Team – For the week ending Sunday the 31st your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 77 families and provided groceries to a total of 157 people.  46 of the families received groceries through our Last Mile home delivery program.  2 new families joined the pantry this week.

Our supermarket food rescue pickups, food donations and purchases totaled 9,420 lbs.  Volunteers for this week included Adam, Albert, Amy & Jake VP, Angie, Grace & Erhardt, Jean, Kelly & Mason, Laura, Lila, Michelle, Shirley, Steve D, and myself.

We closed out January with the biggest kickoff of any new year to date.  In January your Stroudwater Food Pantry distributed 446 banana boxes filled with groceries, a total of 9½ tons of food given to meal insecure families in southern and central Maine.  This was made possible because our dedicated team of volunteers is committed to make this new year a better and brighter year for so many families who need one.   The volunteers of your Stroudwater Food Pantry have once again shown how hunger relief gets done; one month at a time.  Thank you everyone who has gotten this year off to such a great start!
