Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 5/23/21

Hi Team – This week your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 127 families and provided groceries to a total of 338 people.  78 of the families we served were in Washington County.

Our supermarket food rescue pickups, food donations and purchases totaled 3,060lbs.  Volunteers for this week included Adam, Al, Amy & Jake, Pastor Charlie, Deirdra & Dennis & Stefan, Gary, Jean, Karlene, Laura, Michelle, and myself.

On Sunday, pantry volunteers loaded the van with non-perishable food, 4 ice chests full of frozen meat, and loaded an upright freezer onto the trailer.  On Monday 5/24 Pastor Charlie and myself drove the van and trailer up to Washington County with the delivery.  The total donation consisted of 3,924 lbs. of food, and the freezer to hold all the frozen meat.  So far this year we have donated 4.4 tons of food to Washington county; thank you everyone who continues to volunteer and support your Stroudwater Food Pantry’s commitment to reduce meal insecurity, in southern and central Maine!
