Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 7/18/21

Hi Team – For the week ending 7/18 your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 144 families and provided groceries to a total of 409 people.

Our supermarket food rescue pickups, food donations and purchases totaled 3,110lbs.  Volunteers for this week included Adam, Angie, Dave T, Deirdra, Elise & Gary, Jake, Jean, Jim J, Kelly, Laura, Martha, Michelle, Stefan, Zach, and myself.

On Friday the 16th your Stroudwater Food Pantry ran two grocery box assembly lines simultaneously. The first one built boxes for our Last Mile home delivery; while those boxes were going out on delivery, the other assembly line ran in the pantry shed and built 30 boxes of non-perishable groceries for Washington County. These were loaded into our cargo van, along with additional pantry food supplies, including 990lbs of solidly frozen meat that was packed into 7 large coolers.

By the time we stuffed the van, and the trailer, to capacity, we had 2½ tons of food that was ferried up to Washington county on Saturday.

Thank you everyone who volunteered, inside and outside, to prepare and distribute grocery boxes, both here at home and in Washington County!
