Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 8/13/17

Hi Team – This week your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 44 families, providing groceries to a total of 144 people.  8 new families joined us this week.

Sunday’s supermarket rescue food pickups, plus church donations and this week’s purchased food yielded 1,761 lbs.  This week’s volunteers included Ann, Karlene, Autumn W, Rena, Michael C, Steve, Adam, Jenn, Laura and myself.

This past weekend we celebrated our 2^nd Year Anniversary of the opening of your Stroudwater Food Pantry!  During those 2 years we received, processed and served 78 tons of food to the Greater Portland community, the equivalent of 390,000 meals provided to people in need of hunger relief.

Thank you church family for your generous contributions!  Thank you outside benefactors and corporate sponsors who continue to support us in a variety of ways!  And especially THANK YOU to everyone who has volunteered in the last two years to pick up, process and put away 78 tons of food, and to all of you who have put the equivalent of 390,000 meals into the hands of those in need outside our doors.  May the Lord’s Blessing be upon you all!  — Doug
