Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 9/03/17

Hi Team –This past Sunday your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 48 families, providing groceries to a total of 137 people.  6 new families joined us this week.

Sunday’s supermarket rescue food pickups, plus church donations and this week’s purchased food yielded 1,791 lbs.  This week’s volunteers included Anne, Karlene, Rena, Autumn W, Michael C, Steve, Adam, Tammy, Shelley, Angie and myself.

We close out August having provided groceries to 218 families, our busiest month so far this year.  This month we were joined by the teenagers from the My Place Teen Center in Westbrook to build 210 bags of food for our Roadside Assistance Program, in support of feeding the homeless.  Additionally, we adapted both our schedule and food donations to accommodate homeless clients who visit the pantry.  Our continued commitment to a prayer and healing ministry resulted in one person making a decision for Christ this month – all this in the month that we celebrated our 2nd year anniversary.  Praise the Lord for His continued blessing on this ministry, and on the people served by your Stroudwater Food Pantry!  —  Doug
