Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 11/10/19

This weekend your Stroudwater Food Pantry had its busiest Sunday so far this year, serving 72 families and providing groceries to a total of 193 people!  7 new families joined the pantry this week.

Our supermarket food rescue pickups and food donations totaled 2,397 lbs.  Volunteers for this week included, Adam, Anna, Anne, Cat, Debbie, Iman & Maryam, Jean, Karlene, Lois, Misty, Phil, Rebecca, Steve and myself.

This year your Stroudwater Food Pantry is planning to provide 200 Thanksgiving Dinner Boxes to local families who would otherwise not have a Thanksgiving dinner.  We have opportunities for volunteers to help us with that, and if you would like to help out please contact either Laura or myself to join us on one of the days listed below:

BUILD Dinner Boxes (requires 6-8 people each day)

• Friday the 15^th  from   1-3pm
• Tuesday the 19^th from 9-11am
• Wednesday the 20^th from 9-11am

DISTRIBUTE Dinner Boxes (requires 2-3 people each day)

• Friday the 22^nd from 1-3pm
• Monday the 25^th from 1-3pm
• Tuesday the 26^th from 1-3pm

For anyone wishing to donate a turkey, NO signup is required, just bring your turkey to the Pantry on the mornings of Friday the 22^nd or Sunday the 24^th.  And we welcome donations of jars of turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, and stove top stuffing.  God Bless you all, and thank you for your continued support of your Stroudwater Food Pantry! — Doug
