Hi Team – This past weekend your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 44 families and provided groceries to a total of 108 people. 16 new families joined the pantry this week.
Our supermarket food rescue pickups and food donations totaled 2,082 lbs. Volunteers for this week included Adam, Anne, Cat, Donna and Rhianna, Greg and Deb, Jean, Karlene, Phil, Steve D. and myself.
Your Stroudwater Food Pantry continues to remains open to serve the public, Sundays 1-3pm. In response to the Coronavirus pandemic we have reorganized our Sunday operations, following CDC best practices and implementing “no contact” grocery distribution. In doing so we hope to make our pantry experience as safe as possible for both our pantry clients and our volunteers.
The changes we have undergone have not been easy, but our dedicated core of volunteers have made it work, making it possible for your Stroudwater Food Pantry to continue serving the meal insecure in southern Maine. Thank you, and God Bless you all! — Doug
