Hi Team – For the week ending Sunday the 19th your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 67 families and provided groceries to a total of 161 people. 22 new families joined the pantry this week.
Our supermarket food rescue pickups and food donations totaled 2,417lbs. Volunteers for this week included Amy VP, Angie, Cat, Deirdra & Dennis, Donna & Rhianna, Jean, Kristine, Laura, Michelle & Matt & Ben, Rena, Steve D., Willa, and myself.
Your Stroudwater Food Pantry continues to remain open Sundays 1-3pm, and has implemented a “no contact” grocery distribution process. Additionally, our Last Mile home delivery program continues to grow steadily. We now deliver on Mondays and Fridays, and currently have 36 families enrolled for home grocery delivery. We expect that number will grow to 50 families next month.
Thank you all who volunteered this week, and all who continue to rise to the challenge COVID-19 has burdened our community with. This pandemic has put so many families at risk in a variety of ways, yet the response of our church and our community partners has been to stand in the gap to meet the needs of the meal insecure among us. Thank you!! — Doug
