Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 3/7/21

Hi Team – It was a very busy week ending 3/7, as your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 94 families and provided groceries to a total of 241 people.  51 of the families received groceries through our Last Mile home delivery program.  6 new families joined the pantry this week.

Our supermarket food rescue pickups, food donations and purchases totaled 3,716 lbs.  Volunteers for this week included Adam, Albert, Amy & Jake VP, Angie, Deirdra & Dennis, Gary, Jean, Kelly, Laura, Melissa & Kylie, and myself.

This week was almost a mirror image of last week, as we again served over 90 families.  In the last two weeks the volunteers of your Stroudwater Food Pantry served groceries to a total of 191 families, 12 of them new.  They were our busiest back-to-back weekends ever, and reflect the sustained need for hunger relief in a community that has long suffered from the impact of COVID-19.  Thank you, volunteers, for your continuing dedication to stand in the gap on behalf of so many!
