Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 12/3/17

Hi Team –It was a busy week at your Stroudwater Food Pantry, on Sunday we served 47 families, providing groceries to a total of 142 people.  6 new families joined the pantry.

Our supermarket rescue food pickups, plus church donations and this week’s purchased food yielded 2,043 lbs.  This week’s volunteers included Anna, Anne, Autumn, Jean, Karlene, Lois, Melissa, Michael C, Mike H, Tammy, and myself.

We closed out November and the Thanksgiving season processing and distributing a staggering 7.7 tons of food; as we enter into the Christmas season I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation for the many Stroudwater Pantry volunteers who this year dedicated themselves to the mission of, “To do the work of Jesus by feeding those in need and reducing the number of food insecure within the Greater Portland Community.  “For I was hungry and you fed me…”   Thank you, and God Bless you!     — Doug
