Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 12/24/17

Hi Team – On Christmas Eve your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 24 families, providing groceries to a total of 95 people.  2 new families joined the pantry.

Our supermarket rescue food pickups, plus church donations and this week’s purchased food yielded 1,665 lbs.  This week’s volunteers included Adam, Angie, Bill & Dee, Jean, Jim J, Karlene, Lois, Melissa, Michael C, Rena, and myself.

On Friday the 22nd  SFP assembled and distributed 22 Christmas dinner baskets to families who needed a dinner for Christmas.  Adam delivered three of them to a motel, providing Christmas dinner to the entire motel.  Pastor Bill delivered four of them to the Westbrook Fire Department, who distributed them to four families they knew of that did not have a dinner for Christmas.

Yes, your Stroudwater Food Pantry was open on Christmas Eve!  A special thank you to Bill & Dee, Melisa, and Michael  who stood in the gap and kept our doors open, ensuring families would have groceries for Christmas Day!  Thank you all, and God Bless You, everyone!   — Doug
