Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 12/23/18

Hi Team –This past Sunday as we served 35 families, providing groceries to a total of 132 people this week.  3 new families joined the pantry.  Our supermarket fresh rescue food pickups, outside donations, and purchased foods totaled 1,926 lbs. Volunteers for this week included, Anne, Pastor Bill, Cat, Debbie, Jean, Michael, Phil, Rena, Sandra, Steve, and myself.

This week your Stroudwater Food Pantry prepped 25 Christmas dinner boxes, gathered up all the frozen turkeys remaining in inventory, and on Wednesday the 19th Pastor Bill and myself drove them up to Princeton, Washington County.  The boxes were delivered to the Princeton Elementary School, where on Thursday and Friday Donna Netzer distributed 25 Christmas dinners to families who otherwise would not have one.

Once again, thank you everyone who donated turkeys during our November turkey drive, and who built out all the dinner boxes needed to help make a Christmas just a little more special for 25 families in Washington County.  Thank you, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  —  Doug
