Stroudwater Food Pantry Status – 7/21/19

Hi Team – This past Sunday your Stroudwater Food Pantry served 44 families and provided groceries to a total of 120 people.  6 new families joined the pantry this week.

Our supermarket food rescue pickups and food purchases totaled 1,450 lbs.  Volunteers for this week included, Anna, Cat, Debbie, Lois, Nicki, Phil, Rena, Sandra, Steve, and myself.

This past week we ran a 4 day food pantry at the Princeton Elementary School, as part of our church’s broader mission to Washington County.  We provided a 25 lb. bag of non-perishable groceries, plus a case of breakfast cereal to each of the 177 families served.   Food for 45 of these families was delivered to the reservation in Indian Township, through our connection with the Indian Township Food Pantry.

We had 3 bags of groceries and about 18 cases of cereal left over, all of which were donated to the school.  Additionally, our church gave away clothes, shoes and books, and, the mission trip construction teams rebuilt substantial portions of two homes in Princeton.  Thank you everyone who prayed for the team’s health and safety as the Sea Road and Stroudwater Christian Churches made it their mission to help families in Princeton, Big Lake, and Indian Township!
