Hi Team – After the Herculean efforts expended by Stroudwater Food Pantry volunteers in November, December ushered in quietly as we served 32 families, providing groceries to a total of 88 people. 2 new families joined the pantry this week. Our supermarket food rescue pickups, food donations and purchases totaled 4,654 lbs. Grocery volunteers included, Amy, Anne, Cat, Debbie, Jean, Karlene, Laura, Lois, Michelle, Nicki, Phil, Steve and myself.
As we closed out November, we reflect on what turned out to be the busiest month ever in the history of your Stroudwater Food Pantry:
Its takes some very special people to accomplish the enormity of community service that took place in November. These special people are the volunteers of your Stroudwater Food Pantry, and includes our Stroudwater Church family who also donated their time and their frozen turkeys. Thank you for your commitment “To do the work of Jesus by feeding those in need, and reducing the number of meal insecure throughout Southern Maine. ‘For I was hungry and you fed me…’ “
Thank you, and God Bless all of you who worked so hard to serve so many! — Doug
