Hi Team – Sorry for the late distribution of this week’s Pantry Report, I’ m still catching up after being in Guatemala for 10 days. The heaviest part of Sunday’s snowstorm caught us right in the middle of pantry hours, which limited our clients’ ability to come to the church. Still, your Stroudwater Food Pantry served a total of 27 families, providing groceries to a total of 95 people. 2 new families joined the pantry this week.
Our supermarket rescue food pickups, plus church donations (50lbs.) and this week’s purchased food yielded 2,250 lbs. That ton of food was much needed and served to restock our freezers. This week’s volunteers included Adam, Angie, Anne, Christine&Rob, Debbie S, Ellen, Gary, Jean, Jenn & Jeremiah, Michael C, Mike H, Rena, and myself.
Thank you everyone who volunteered this week, and a special thank you to everyone who stood in the gap on Sunday the 18th when so many of our pantry volunteers were away, serving in the jungle village of Cuatro Cayos, Guatemala. Thank you all! — Doug
